Dr. Terry McQuaid is a psychologist with over twenty years of national leadership experience in personal safety and emergency planning, including responding to cases of sexual violence, anti-racism, high-risk matters, and community safety for students and employees in the post-secondary environment. She led the large-scale response to the pandemic, overseeing the medical and mental health and wellness education services, student support, library and learning, housing and athletics services and case management within the Student Experience portfolio.
She has also been responsible for ensuring the organization aligns its policies and procedures and applicable legislation, and has implemented assessment or risk management frameworks for specialized populations, including residential treatment, youth justice services, first responders and veterans to mitigate risk and ensure safety. Dr. McQuaid’s experience and insights have been invaluable in developing effective policies and procedures to address these complex and sensitive issues.
